Fan-made, no strings

Immortal Drafts is an independent fan project: a draft and trivia game about esports history. Free, no account, no app store.

Where the data comes from

Every roster, placing and result comes from Liquipedia, under the CC-BY-SA 3.0 licence. Hand-written trivia questions cite their source too; lore questions cite the game's own wiki. The pages the rosters are built from:

League of Legends match stats for the years Liquipedia has no stats page come from Leaguepedia, also under CC-BY-SA 3.0.

Grades are estimates

Behind the bracket, every player on every roster carries this game's own estimate for that roster and that year, built from how far the team went and, where match data exists, how the player performed there. The oldest events have no match data, so those estimates rest on placings alone. They stay behind the scenes: what you see is each player's role stats while you draft and, after the bracket, one letter grade for the whole team, from S down to D, set by how it compares with every other drafted team. None of it is official and none of it is a verdict on anyone's career.

Your name on the boards

A leaderboard name is optional (ranked play is the one mode that asks for it). It is tied to this browser through a random id kept on the device: no account, no email, no password, nothing to recover. Clear the site's data and you start as a new player. The name is the only thing other players ever see.

Analytics and ads

The game talks to this site's own server to fetch the daily and to store daily results, versus matches, your board name and reports. Streaks, settings and sound stay on this device. Google Analytics counts how the game is played, and Google AdSense shows ads on result screens and menus, never during play; in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland both wait for your consent. The privacy page has the details.

Something wrong?

Under every trivia question there is a Report question button; it sends the question's id and your reason, nothing more, and the question gets checked against its source. There is no button for rosters and player stats yet: each one links back to its Liquipedia page above, and the corrections land through the same content pipeline. Reports are read, and wrong facts get fixed in the next content version.

Modeled on the 82-0 family of draft games. Built for the people who remember the rosters.
